WHAT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ME?
That’s a great question!! First of all, every grade has a “Thought Theme.” You can find yours in the list below. This is a question or statement that guides you in creating a comment for the yearbook. Check with your teacher to see if this will be a class project or an independent activity. Your comment will be featured with your photo as part of your Student Spotlight. Be thoughtful!!l AND remember to check spelling and punctuation.
Next, we’ll want to know your “Favorites of the Moment.” These are the things you love right now, this minute: Song. TV Show. Game. Food. Color. Smell. We have a whole list for you to follow… easy peasy.
Finally, we’ll want to know your birthdate and THREE WORDS that describe YOU!
Everything is explained in the Student Spotlight Worksheet. Use it to help organize your thoughts. Look for a printed copy coming home in your school materials or download a copy and get started TODAY!!
WHAT ARE THIS YEAR’S THOUGHT THEMES?
TKers are very hungry to learn!
I am a Kind Kinder Kiddo because I…
The best part of me is…
In 2nd grade we fill buckets with kindness!
I filled someone’s bucket by…
Challenges are simply opportunities.
This year a challenge I faced became an opportunity when…
OHANA means family. I felt I was part of our fourth grade ohana when…
WE ARE THE FUTURE!
My dream for the future is…
WHAT KINDS OF PHOTOS DO WE WANT??
Wow! That’s another great question!!
Two photos can be “themed photos” such as: you laughing, crazy hair, funny hat, favorite jersey or pajamas. One photo should be fairly close up of your face.
The third photo is a shot of you doing one of your favorite activities. Think: Cooking. Hiking. Biking. Running. Catching. Dancing. Drawing. Reading. Singing. Exercising. Gaming. Surfing. Acting. Crafting.
Just make it something YOU enjoy.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD PHOTO??
The focus is on YOU
Just you, or you and one other person or a pet
No harsh shadows
Clear with good resolution when viewed at 4-5 inches wide on your computer
WHAT MAKES A BAD PHOTO??
Dark… poor lighting
Too many people… can’t tell who to focus on
Grainy… too low resolution
You’re too small in the picture
We can’t see your face or tell what’s going on
